Our Story

Baker X Construction was built from the ground up—literally. What started as a single piece of equipment and a determination to provide for our family has grown into a trusted name in excavation. We saw a need for honest, dependable work in the dirt-moving industry and stepped in to fill it.

With a background in hands-on trades and a heart for hard work, the goal was simple: do the job right, treat people fairly, and build something that could be passed down through generations. Today, Baker X remains family-owned and proudly serves  central Utah with that same founding mindset for every dig, every grade, and every project is done with precision, pride, and purpose.

State Project:

One of our most rewarding projects was partnering with the Utah Division of Natural Resources (DNR) in Roosevelt, Utah, to dig a pond that would become a lasting community fishery.

The job came with a unique set of challenges—freezing temperatures that made it tough for equipment to stay running consistently. But despite the cold, our team pushed through with determination and careful planning to get the job done.

Today, that pond stands as more than just a project. It’s a gathering place for local families and youth, a spot for fishing, connection, and outdoor memories that will last for generations. We’re proud to have played a part in building something that brings joy to our community.

Featured Project:

Water Line Replacement for a Small Community

When a small HOA community was struggling with failing water lines and high water bills, Baker X stepped in with a focus on smart solutions and minimal disruption.

Understanding how critical water access is, we worked closely with residents and local leaders to design a strategy that allowed us to replace the faulty water lines while keeping the community’s water supply active as much as possible. By adapting our approach and staying flexible, we completed the project efficiently and with as little inconvenience as possible.

The results? Reliable water service, lower monthly costs, and a grateful community that’s no longer burdened by waste and worry. For us, it’s about more than excavation… it’s about solving real problems and making life better for the people we serve.
